Haynsworth Academy of Witchcraft & Wizardry was formed in 1125, located in the heart of Berlin, German. It was founds by two amazing witches and a powerful wizard.

Adelinde Winchcombe was the brains and beauty behind the school. She lived for those she knew would succeed at something in life. Emerick Scarborough was the witty one, the one that came up with idea of having a school. Of course all he wanted it for was the purebloods of the region. Rosemarie Abendroth, now she was a different story. She preferred them all. The one that opened her arms and welcome anyone and everyone into her class. When the school had first opened though, they went by Scarborough's rules. He was more powerful then the two ladies, so they thought. After a few years, Winchcombe and Abendroth rebelled against him. They refused to teach and help run the school if they wouldn't let more witches and wizards, of any kind, come to the school. Finally, in 1273, Emerick Scarborough agreed. As the years went on Haynsworth Academy grow larger. So they had to expend the school. In 1294, the three of them decided to break the school down into house and have a sorting ceremony to make sure they got put into the house they would be most powerful in. Rosemarie Abendroth drew from her desk a notebook. Upon it, she casted a spell. All the students had to do, was write three words, it didn't matter what the words were. It was as if, the students were just writing and the notebook could read into their mind. Tap into their heads and decide which house they were to be placed into. With all that said and done with, they had to decide how they were going to do these houses. Common sense was to just name them something simply, but it was Adelinde Winchcombe whom decided to use their last names for the houses.

Winchcombe & Scarborough & Abendroth

They became the houses names. The time came were they would have to decide on icons, something to represent each house. Something that stood for each of them, to design and power their houses. Winchcombe choose that of a Monkey, they are considered some of the most intelligent animals, so she found it best to fit her house. Scarborough, on the other hand, need an animal that was of pure power. Something that had the drive to succeed and was pure. After a long decision, he choose a wolf was best to describe his house. Abendroth had the toughest choice. She was the house of everything, friendly and caring. She didn't have any other choice, the hawk was what best fit her. With an icon to represent, they had to decide on style and color. Their students would be required to wear uniforms. Each house had black cloaks, upon their chest they wore a patch. On it was the name of their house and the name that represented them. Also, each house had their own color. The house of Scarborough was represented by red, the color of power. The house of Abendroth was represented by blue, the color of sky. The house of Winchcombe was represented by purple, the color of royalty.
